Digital Innovation Forum 2017

The Digital Innovation Forum (DIF) is a brand-new international industry-driven event that focusses on Digital Innovation in Europe and beyond. DIF 2017 will take place on 10 & 11 May 2017 in Amsterdam and welcomes the global software innovation community; large industry, SMEs, academics, start-ups, investors, representatives from funding agencies and public authorities.
This first edition of the Digital Innovation Forum will be dedicated to ‘Digital Transformation’.

S2S session at the IAMOT 2017: “Potentials and Pitfalls of Open Innovation and Open Science Projects between Industry, Science and Society”

On May 15, 2017, Aldo Ofenheimer presented in an interactive talk the Science2Society project to a broader stakeholder group at the 26th International Association for Management of Technology Conference (IAMOT 2017) in Vienna.

The conference attracts over 200 researchers, scholars and industry participants from all over the world and together with them we explored ideas about the subjects of: “Potentials and Pitfalls of Open Innovation and Open Science Projects between Industry, Science, and Society”.

Green Tech Innovators Club

The Green Tech Cluster is instrumental in the green innovation and consequent growth of 180 companies and research institutions. The cluster provides support for R & D project development, assessment of technology trends and market opportunities and establishing global contacts. Multinational stakeholder engagement at EARPA

In order to identify and engage key stakeholders in the areas tackled by Science2Society, Bert Pluymers (coordinator) put the project on stage at the Spring Meeting of the European Automotive Research Partners’ Association (EARPA) in Brussels on March 15th, 2017. In front of more than 100 collaboration driven R&D practitioners from all over Europe he outlined the vision and mission of the project. He also highlighted different ways of becoming part of it.

Successful onboarding of the S2S Advisory Board

Science2Society sets out to tackle the university industry collaborations in the context of open innovation and open science focusing very much on the practitioners’ perspective. Leveraging results: Exploitation Strategy Seminar for Science2Society

In the S2S workshop in Madrid (27th Feb.-1st March 2017) the consortium benefited of an Exploitation Strategy Seminar . This seminar is a service of ESIC (Exploitation Strategy and Innovation Consultants), an initiative of the European Commission’s DG Research and Innovation. Often, non‑technological risks prevent research results from making it to the market.
