On 18th April 2018, the Expert-Talk “Open Innovation applied in Europe – How to create and foster interaction between University, Industry and Society” was held in the Interactive Zone of the Transport Research Arena 2018 (TRA 2018).
The Transport Research Arena (TRA) is the biggest Transport Research Conference in Europe, with over 600 sessions, Exhibition and Interactive Zone. Under the motto "a digital era for transport. solutions for society, economy and environment" about 3.000 international experts discussed about the latest research results and future developments in mobility and transport.
The Expert-Talk was organized by the Austrian partners of the Science2Society project and announced in the official programme of the conference. Two special guests - Muriel Desaeger from Toyota Motor Europe and Gerhard Weiner from Austrian cooperative Research (ACR) - were invited to discuss insights regarding How to create smart University/Research – Industry Interaction Mechanisms and How to manage technology and innovation effectively.
This Expert-talk gave a great opportunity to disseminate recent findings of S2S project to a very broad audience, representing innovation experts and practitioners from Academia as well as Industry. Especially the open floor layout of the setting of the Interactive Zone invited many visitors of TRA to join this lively discussion.
