Science2Society sets out to tackle the university industry collaborations in the context of open innovation and open science focusing very much on the practitioners’ perspective. Thus, also the successfully established S2S Advisory Board is reflecting this particular perspective. Comprising of 7 distinguished top innovation experts from different backgrounds (automotive, ICT as well as business incubators and big data), the members representing a balanced mix of industry and university in detail are:

Lidia Borrell-Damian, EUA – European University Association (Director for Research and Innovation)
Roberto Martínez, BDVA-Big Data Value Association (Member of the Board of Directors)
The role of the S2S-advisory board comprises especially of
- providing expertise on open innovation and open science experiences
- contributing to the strategic development of the project
- acting as multiplier for project results within their dedicated networks
The first face-to-face-meeting of the board members with the consortium took place on the 27th of February 2017 in Madrid. Based on the valuable insights and contributions already given in this meeting the S2S project is looking forward for many more such fruitful discussions with the S2S-Advisory Board in the upcoming months.
