Last 8 of June 2018 was held at the UPC, the Barcelona Science2Society local workshop.
The UPC Vice-rector for Knowledge Transfer and Innovation, Jordi Berenguer, welcomed the attendants, and introduced some facts and figures about the knowledge transfer activities developed by the UPC. Juan Pérez, European Projects Manager at CIT UPC, introduced the Science2Society project to the audience.
Josep M. Piqué, President of IASP, introduced success factors in technology transfer with some examples.
The experience of three pilots in Science2Society project was detailed by pilot members.
- Dòrica Munell (from CA Technologies) and Pablo Romero (from CIT UPC) explained the main takeaways of the analysis of their real experience of co-location of an industrial research team (CA Technologies) in a university (UPC).
- Ricard Munné (from ATOS) detailed the best practices for the transfer of research Big data from the Finland Invention Database and form the GCAT project and the conclusions drawn from them.
- Juli Ramon (from Innoget) presented the experience gathered from the deployment of an Innovation Marketplace at the Technische Universitat Darmstadt.
An active audience of 35 attendants participated by asking questions to the speakers.
Finally, Laszlo Bax (from Bax & Company) lead an interactive session where attendants ranked the pilots presented based on User Journeys and Megatrends evaluation exercises.
